Mike Lynch Minnesota Starwatch Class (ages 7+)

Bring a lawn chair and get comfy while watching the great celestial show, constellations, planets, star clusters, galaxies, and nebulae. An indoor orientation will be followed outside under the skies. Get to know the constellations The Big Bear, Cassiopeia, Orion, and the great stories behind them. Use large reflecting telescopes, including a giant 20” reflector, one of the biggest mobile telescopes in Minnesota for close up views of star clusters, nebulae, galaxies and other wonders in our winter skies. Receive star maps and constellation charts maps, websites, astrophotography, a telescope-buying guide, and more. Instructor: Mike Lynch is a meteorologist at WCCO Radio, has taught astronomy classes for over 38 years, writes a weekly stargazing column for the St. Paul Pioneer Press and has just completed his second book. Books and “Galaxy on a Gut” t-shirts will be available for purchase.
