Without a Power of Attorney and Health Care Directive, a court proceeding for guardianship and conservatorship is likely inescapable. A Power of Attorney allows you to choose who will handle your finances and property should you become incapacitated or cannot make decisions for yourself. A Health Care Directive allows someone to make health care decisions for you, give instructions for terminal care, and state what funeral arrangements you want. In class you will prepare both of these documents. Register early, a memo with things to consider before class will be sent.
