<p><span style="font-size: x-small"><b>Art Glass Plate – Stained Glass Techniques</b></span></p> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-size: x-small">Learn basic lead, soldering and proper glass cutting techniques. Bring a decorative plate or saucer of almost any diameter. Plates can be etched, colored or pressed glass, or pottery. Plates cannot be too thick around the edge (1/8 inch thick max). It can also have minor chips around the edge, no more than 1/32 inch deep. Must purchase soldering iron (price ranges) from instructor for second class or bring one, a glass cutting tool (suggested cutter is $35) will be needed for first class, instructor will have some to demonstrate on first night. Bring a small, watertight container to hold a damp piece of sponge, another to hold a piece of cloth or paper towel damp with cooking oil, a sharp pencil and eraser. Instructor: Ken Fletcher.
